Friday: Qualification Matches, Award Ceremony and Baseball

Today we had a very busy day, with four matches, an awards ceremony and finally a baseball game. Our matches went a little rough, with no victories and some confusion in judges calls. Our robot was able to mostly hang a few times, even if the judges said that it was not a full chin up. After a few touch ups to the robot, our scores improved over and over.

After pits closed, we made our way over to the Peabody Opera House to watch the First Tech Challenge Awards ceremony. Unfortunately, FalconTech was not nominated for any awards, but at least we know that we did our best and it is a great accomplishment to even be invited here.

Our last activity of the day was a baseball game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals. We were up pretty high in the nosebleed seats, but we still had a great time and got to see the whole game from above. The hotdog drink vouchers didn't work all that great, and we had to wait in line for quite a while but in the end everything worked out and we all had a great time.

With one more full day until we come home, we are all getting really excited for the grand finale of our trip. See you all in a few days!!
